History for the ESE Inbox Sweeper
Version 1.0.1 released December 24, 2003 (download)
Turned the Action column into two columns, Learn As and Del (delete).
Fixed various bugs and design problems: An e-mail with empty subject and body doesn't cause an error now. MishMash of body text and parsing of e-mails headers has been improved. Limited the processing time of the MishMash routine in case it was taking way too long.
E-mails with few words are marked as possible spam, unless the words they do have are "spam" words.
E-mails with gibberish words will get marked increasingly toward spam for every gibberish word they have.
Added a column in the main grid that shows the user if there is an attachment or not.
The connection to the mail server is kept active, so there are no timeouts. Added a dialog box that asks the user every few minutes if they wish to keep the connection active as this locks the mailbox on their mail server. (Incoming mail will still arrive, but will not be seen until the next session.)
The "Done sweeping your e-mail" dialog box will stay visible until the user clicks OK. Also added a checkbox to this dialog box that will exit the program on OK if that is what the user wishes.
All e-mails deleted by the program will now be saved in the Saved E-Mail area. An optional warning will be given if the e-mail is going to be deleted but wasn't fully download in the "Get" phase.
Friends list can keep track of the person's name to make managing the list easier.
